Add mib with zenmib missing keepMiddleZeros parameter

  • 1.  Add mib with zenmib missing keepMiddleZeros parameter

    Posted 17 days ago
    Hi,

I need the middle zero to map the OID to the correct traps.

I used to use zenmib with the parameter "keepMiddleZeros":
serviced service run zope zenmib run /mnt/pwd/* --path=/SITE/GPFS --mibdepsdir=/usr/share/mibs --keepMiddleZeros

With Zenoss 6.2.1 the parameter keepMiddleZeros is missing:
    zenmib run /z/mibs/GPFS-MIB.mib --path=/SITE/GPFS --mibdepsdir=/usr/share/mibs/ietf --removemiddlezeros

It's a recommendation to use now "removemiddlezeros", but now the correct mapping doesn't work.

    Sample:

    OID Mappings:
    - gpfsTraps 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.212.0 node

    Traps:
    - gpfsAddDiskTrap 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.212.3 notification
    - ...

    Should be:
    - gpfsAddDiskTrap 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.212.0.3 notification

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    Hi,

I checked again. Without any parameter the middle zero remains.
    - zenmib run /z/mibs/GPFS-MIB.mib --path=/SITE/GPFS

I found other MIB's, run zenmib without a option, it was not possible to add the MIB (Python error). In this case, the option --keepMiddleZeros helped.

I need to check again with other MIB's.

    Thanks,
    Daniel
